Apple House

The Apple House

A visit to Arbor Day Farm is not complete without seeing the heart of orchard operations, the Apple House. The majestic white barn surrounded by the commercial and heirloom apple orchards sits footsteps away from the Millennium Landmark Tree, the Morton Oak.

View “Rube,” the home grown mechanical marvel that will wash, polish and size the fall harvest. Our fresh cider served at the Pie Garden was once processed on the apple press, now an open exhibit. Enjoy a specially produced video demonstrating the pressing process Arbor Day Farm utilized up through 2001.

Don’t forget apple pie with the “works”, also available at the Pie Garden. The Apple House Gift Shop features none other than the “apple.” Real apples, fake apples, teacher apples, apple cider, apple pies — its all here in addition to other unique, quality, country gifts. We look forward to welcoming you year-round. Don’t miss Arbor Day Festival Weekend (4th weekend every April) and Applejack Festival (3rd weekend every September).
