Weekends this fall, the entire family will enjoy a mash-up of Arbor Day Farm's most beloved fall season activities: hayrack rides, cider, s'mores and storytelling!

On select Friday and Saturday nights in October and November, climb aboard a hayrack at the Lied Lodge lobby, where your journey begins at 7:00pm sharp. Travel to Arbor Day Farm's Morton Oak tree, where you'll sip hot apple cider, make s'mores, and enjoy tales from a storyteller, then return to Lied Lodge by approximately 8:45pm.

Tickets are $12.50+ tax for adults; $10+ tax for children, age 3-12. Seating is limited on the hayrack, and this activity often sells out. To reserve your seat, please call Lied Lodge at 800-546-5433.

Wine, Cheese & A Walk Among the Trees is a relaxing food & nature activity at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure on Saturday afternoons this summer, 4:00-6:00pm. 

Start with a glass of Arbor Day Farm wine and snack on assorted cheeses; then head out to the wooded trails for a casual stroll-and-learn with Arbor Day Farm's certified arborist Rod Edwards.

Choose two ways to enjoy this activity:
Cost is $19 per adult; $15 per child (age 12 and younger) and includes two tickets to the Tree Adventure; four wine tastes (cider for the kids); two souvenir wine glasses. Nothing says fall quite like Oktoberfest, and you're invited to share in the fun at Arbor Day Farm's Historic Barns on Sunday, October 11, from 2:00-7:00pm.

Enjoy Chef Thomas' authentic German foods along with local, domestic and international beers. Dance to polka music from the Jim Bochnicek Trio, featuring Kenny Shuda on the button accordion. Play horseshoes and other yard games and get in the fall season spirit.

At Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure

You'll enjoy this summer evening treat at the Tree Adventure. Climb aboard for a guided, Sunset Discovery Ride as you journey through the orchards and vineyards at Arbor Day Farm. Following the ride, gather 'round for a twilight bonfire complete with make-your-own s'mores.

This activity is offered every Friday and Saturday night in August. Your reservation includes after-hours access at the Tree Adventure, beginning at 7pm; explore the grounds until the Discovery Ride departs at 8:00 pm; bonfire and s'mores follows the ride. Cost is $19 per adult, $15 per child (age 3-12) and includes your Tree Adventure admission, your ticket for the Discovery Ride, the bonfire, make-your-own s'mores, and bottled water.

Reservations are required by 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays for the Sunset & S'mores activity; please call the Tree Adventure at (402) 873-8717 to reserve your seat. This activity wraps up no later than 10:00pm.

Also on the grounds: a carriage house and tack room, Monument Square, a whispering bench, 200+ varieties of lilacs from around the globe, a playground, picnic areas, and other trails.
