Lied Parking Lot Arboretum: Trees within this parking lot arboretum demonstrate how beneficial trees can be for parking areas. With nearly 400 trees representing almost 50 species, the arboretum features both common indigenous species like bur oak, and special nursery-grown cultivars such as red sunset maple and snowdrift crabapple. The beautiful parking lot arboretum was a cooperative effort between The Arbor Day Foundation, urban foresters, landscape design consultants, corporations, charitable foundation and enthusiastic private tree donors.
