Summer Art Camp at Arbor Day Farm

July 13-17, 2009

Calling all kids to get creative in nature! Arbor Day Farm's Summer Art Camp gives kids in first through sixth grade the chance to explore, learn, and create with natural elements under the direction of Artist in Residence Barbara Schroeder. More about Barbara

Tiny Hideaways:

9:30 - 11:30am for 1st - 3rd Grade

Take a hike and collect natural materials like twigs, leaves and pods. Use your imagination to create and build a miniature house or structure for our real or make-believe forest friends and little creatures.

Twigs to Treehouses

1:00 - 3:00pm for 4th - 6th Grade

Students will hike to find and collect natural materials for use in designing and constructing a building based on themes from the outdoors.

Art Show:

All students will showcase their art projects on July 17, during the last hour of camp (10:30-11:30am and 2:00-3:00pm) at the Tree Adventure. Family and friends are invited to come see their creativity! Projects will remain on display through October 31, 2009, as part of the Artisan Woods exhibit at Arbor Day Farm. Students may pick up their projects after November 1, 2009.
