Wine Under The Pines

Celebrate the vineyards, wineries, and breweries of
Southeast Nebraska at the third annual

Saturday, August 7, 2010  •  Noon - 7pm

The rich, fertile soils of Southeast Nebraska are prime territory for grape growing, as evidenced by the many vineyards and wineries established in this area -- some of them having been around for decades, others relatively new.

Nebraska City's annual Wine Under the Pines Festival seeks to celebrate this rich wine heritage and it's bright future by bringing together some of the best wine producers (and beer producers) in the Southeast Nebraska region.

Meet a few of the participating partners in this year's Wine Under the Pines festival:

Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard, Nebraska City, Nebraska

The host vineyard of Wine Under the Pines, Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard has spent years researching the varietals that thrive best in Southeast Nebraska, with an expanding fleet of reds, whites, and fruit wines as tasty evidence.

Arbor Day Farm, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Fertile rolling hills and warm Nebraska sunshine set the stage for award-winning wines produced at Arbor Day Farm. A focus on sustainability reflects the heritage of this 260-acre property, once the original estate of J. Sterling Morton, the founder of National Arbor Day.

Nebraska Brewing Company, Papillion, Nebraska

Locally owned and operated, Nebraska Brewing Company's mission is "to serve you with style" by pairing unique hand-crafted ales with great food. NBC's Chef Adam Graybill returns to Wine Under the Pines for a third time, providing an always-tasty cooking demonstration for standing-room-only crowds.

Deer Springs Winery, Lincoln, Nebraska

Deer Springs Winery is Lincoln’s award-winning winery nestled in a quiet country setting just minutes away from the city. Since opening to the public in 2007, Deer Springs takes great pride in producing balanced, flavorful, & approachable wines which have won medals in both national and international wine competitions.

Schilling Bridge Winery & Microbrewery, Pawnee City, Nebraska

Bridging the gap between the wine connoisseur and the beer enthusiast, Schilling Bridge of Pawnee City, Nebraska, offers locally-produced, award-winning wines and hand-crafted microbrews while creating a memorable experience for all.
